What is the difference between PyroTV Platform Edition and PyroTV Basic?
PyroTV Platform Edition is the full operational product integrated with PyroCore Platform (POS connections, multi-channel catalog, fleet operations, channels, and in-store displays). PyroTV Basic is a future lightweight product designed for standalone scan-to-display product lookups managed directly from the PyroCore Customer Portal.
Do PyroTV displays require continuous internet connectivity to operate?
PyroTV Platform Edition uses local-first playback so synchronized content can continue playing during temporary connectivity interruptions. PyroTV Basic is being designed around the same local-first principle.
What hardware is required to run PyroTV?
PyroTV Platform Edition runs on dedicated compact appliances (such as Raspberry Pi 4B/5 or x86 micro PCs) running our locked-down Linux runtime. Hardware deployment options are discussed during commercial onboarding.
Can we control pricing visibility on in-store screens?
Yes. In Platform Edition, prices format automatically according to your store price books. PyroTV Basic is planned to include optional price display managed through the PyroCore Customer Portal.
